Commands



Definitions

Heel

The dog walks to your left: shoulder is 6 inches away from your knee. Leash hanging loosely in a "J".


Left Turn

Turning left as sharp as possible keeping the dog still in the heel position.


Right Turn

Turning right as sharp as possible keeping the dog still in the heel position.


Sit


Sitting straight up

Down

Lying down straight with hind legs square to the ground.


Stand

Standing on all four legs straight.


Stay

Staying in all 3 commands, sit-down-stand regardless of any distractions.


Come

Coming and sitting infront.


Heel Around
(The Finish)

Upon coming and sitting, the dog goes around behind you from your right side to end up sitting to your left side.


Hand Signals

For all the commands from beside you and up to a distance of 25 Ft.


Corner/Carpet

This is a command to have the dog go and lye down, to a specified (choice of word) area.


Half stops

This is to have the dog stop half way when called, purpose of this command is incase of emergencies.
